Pittsburgh Black Pride envisions the City of Pittsburgh to be a place where all members of the Black LGBTQIA+ community feel welcome, safe, and accepted for who they are.
Our Mission
The mission of Pittsburgh Black Pride is to provide entertainment, social information, and health education to Black Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Ally (LGBTQIA+) individuals and families in the City of Pittsburgh and across Southwest Pennsylvania.
Foster Love Project (FLP), a Wilkinsburg-based 5013c, exists to show love in action to children impacted by foster and kinship care through the provision of goods, services, and support to ensure all children, no matter their family composition, will be treated with dignity and self-worth, so they are empowered to thrive.
The Foster Love Project Bag program was launched in 2014 by founder and current Executive Director Kelly Hughes, a foster and adoptive parent, to care for children in foster care and support kinship and foster families residing in western Pennsylvania and those within driving distance. Since its establishment as a 5013c organization in 2016, and thanks to generous partners and volunteers, Foster Love Project has supported over 17,000 children and 3,000 children annually through seven intentionally designed and critical programs.
Pittsburgh Seminary prepares women and men for ministries in established and emerging Christian communities around the world. Rooted in the Reformed tradition and with a centuries-old history of mission and scholarship in service of the church, the Seminary is committed to relationships of mutual learning and serving with Christ-followers from other traditions and theological viewpoints. Our faculty and educational resources cultivate theologically reflective and contextually engaged Christian leaders. Our programs nurture vocational formation for bearing witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our student body is comprised of Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, Episcopalians, Orthodox, and more than 20 other traditions from more than 30 U.S. states and countries around the world.
Prime Stage is the region’s 501c3 non-profit small arts theatre company with the mission of entertaining, educating, and enriching the lives of young people and adults by bringing literature to life on stage and virtually along with producing programs with partnerships that benefit the region and beyond.
The Allegheny Land Trust (ALT) is a 501c3, independent Pennsylvania Corporation with the mission of conserving and caring for local land for the health and well-being of current and future generations.
We envision a resilient region with abundant green space that is easily accessible and recognized as essential to the quality of life for all.
Established in 1993, ALT has conserved almost 3,000 acres across Allegheny and Washington counties in over 30 municipalities. Strategic priorities include LAND CONSERVATION (protect rapidly disappearing green space for the overall well-being of the region), LAND STEWARDSHIP (manage and care for our conserved green spaces for perpetual community benefit), COMMUNITY CONSERVATION (empower communities through education, innovative programs, resources to create equity through conservation) and NATURE-BASED EDUCATION (foster an understanding of regional issues and solutions for current and future generations.
Founded in 1974, and located in the heart of the Cultural District at the O’Reilly Theater, the mission of Pittsburgh Public Theater is to provide artistically diverse theatrical experiences of the highest quality.
Pittsburgh Public Theater also strives to serve, challenge, stimulate and entertain while operating in a fiscally responsible manner. The Public shares its resources with the community through education and outreach initiatives intended for a wide range of people with the goal of expanding and diversifying the audience while enriching the community.

Custom designer, Kiya Tomlin, launched her collection of re-imagined sweatsuits in Fall of 2014. Inspired by the energy and aspirations of today’s modern woman, the namesake line was designed for women, like herself, with a purpose and passion for life. Uniting cover girl glamor with the comfort and ease of a favorite sweatshirt, her designs embody femininity, versatility, and the constant pursuit of the place where style, function and luxurious comfort intersect. Products include tops, jumpsuits/rompers, dresses, skirts, pants, shorts and accessories. Also available are products for men and washable/re-useable face masks.
Pennsylvania Women Work is a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women in career transition through job readiness, emotional growth, education, training and employment. Our flagship program, New Choices, has served thousands of women across the Commonwealth and assisted them in breaking the cycle of poverty to build better lives for themselves and their families!
